Tom White is regarded as one of the world’s leading innovators and practitioners of city gospel movements, bringing together pastors, business leaders, non-profit organizations, and prayer mobilizers to build city-wide “John 17” movements characterized by authentic relationships, transformational prayer, and practical collaboration in serving the needs of cities and advancing the gospel.

Tom has authored four books. The most recent, The Practitioner’s Guide: Building City Gospel Movements, offers both a theology of city movements and in-the-trenches wisdom for building a citywide or regional movement of unity. He serves on the Leadership Cabinet for “Movement Day,” an annual gathering of city movement practitioners in New York City, and has coached dozens of inter-denominational, gospel-centered city movements in places as diverse as Toronto, Nashville, Mumbai, Kansas City, Jerusalem, and Tuscaloosa.

Tom is also a seasoned expert in the area of spiritual warfare, offering a reasoned, seasoned approach to a complex topic. His Believer’s Guide to Spiritual Warfare has been a global best seller on the subject since 1991, and remains in print.

Drawing on over 30 years of hands-on experience in bringing Christian leaders together, Tom can provide customized offerings for pastors, business leaders, non-profit organizations, and prayer mobilizers, ranging from a 2 hour vision-casting seminar to a 3 day leadership prayer retreat focused building trust and common vision among a diverse set of gospel-minded leaders.

For example: In Kingston, Ontario Tom facilitated a half-day forum bringing together business executives, influential pastors from over a dozen denominations, the city manager, and local prayer leaders to establish a vision for people of good faith to partner with people of good will for the good of the city.
